Our 23/24 financial year packages (covering 6 April 2023 – 5 April 2024) will be available to pre-order from 1 March 2023. The packages will be added to your account, and relevant package features (such as cloud spreadsheets and portals) will be available from 1 April in time for the new financial year.
The reason for the delay in releasing our new package features is due to the timing of the new Spring Budget on 15 March. When the previous mini-budget was announced back in September 2022 with the then chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng, a number of major changes were made to the tax system, including the removal of some thresholds for taxation, and changes to the Health and Social Care Levy.
These were then reversed in October, and replaced with a further different set of changes. This created a large amount of pressure on our team to finalise account information and update reports accordingly – something we’d like to try and avoid this time around.
As such, we’ll await to hear any changes on the 15 March from the current Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, and then update our systems accordingly in preparation for the new financial year. We appreciate that this provides a shorter period for familiarisation with our updated systems and spreadsheets – but the effect should be minimal as the financial year starts from early April.
