Royal Mail have announced further price rises for first and second-class stamps, making it the fourth increase in prices in the past two years.
The change means that a first-class stamp will increase to £1.35 and second-class stamp to 85p.
Back in March 2022, a first class stamp cost 85p, and second class were 66p – however there has been a run of increases, the last one being in October 2023.
Royal Mail said that it had “sought to keep price increases as low as possible in the face of increasing cost pressures and wage increases, declining letter volumes and lack of reform of the universal service obligation (USO)”.
