Royal Mail have announced further price rises for first class stamps, with a rise of 30p on standard letters, and 50p on larger letters.
The change means that a first-class stamp will increase from £1.35 to £1.65.
Second class stamps are currently unaffected, but a range of other services will also increase.
First-class stamps were £1.10 this time last year, and increased to £1.25 in October 2023, and then by a further 10p in April 2024 to the current £1.35.
Royal Mail blames the latest hikes on increasing cost pressures and its requirement under the ‘universal service obligation’ to deliver letters to all UK addresses six days a week.
